Use marching phase to find a BCC region from its composition, and keep it beside a phase you already saved.

Finding a BCC CrFe phase beside a saved MnNi phase

  1. Open a reconstruction that already has a range file. In this example a saved MnNi Phase is already shown in orange.
  2. Click Marching phase. The panel opens with voxel 1.00 nm and delocalization 3.00 nm.
  3. Under Saved phases, select the new phase and name it BCC CrFe. Leave MnNi Phase checked so it stays on screen.
  4. Check Co, Cr, Fe, and Mn. Enter the composition and the range around it. Here that is Co 4.00 at.% ± 3.00, Cr 85.00 at.% ± 5.00, Fe 8.00 at.% ± 4.00, and Mn 4.00 at.% ± 3.00.
  5. Click Apply. The blue surface is every voxel that sits inside all four composition windows at once.
  6. The panel reports the triangle count, the phase volume, its fraction of the reconstruction, the closed regions, and the number density.
  7. Keep Show phase and Clip outside reconstruction on. Both phases stay visible together.
  8. Click Rotate anim. to turn the reconstruction and compare the BCC CrFe phase with the MnNi phase.

Save keeps the phase in the project. New adds another one.
